Two die in separate road crashes

Two people were killed in separate crashes on Scotland's roads on Friday, police have said.

One of the occupants of a green Landrover died in Perth and Kinross when it was involved in a one-vehicle collision on Friday.

Two others in the car were taken from the scene of the crash, on the A923 Blairgowrie to Coupar Angus Road, to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

And a biker died after colliding with a lorry near Loch Lomond on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the crash, which happened at about 1040 BST on the A82 near Loch Lomond Holiday Park, Arrochar. The rider died at the scene.

The 31-year-old driver of the lorry was uninjured.

Both Strathclyde and Tayside police have appealed for witnesses to either crash to come forward.
